57- Warlord into Priestess.

And we see the Warlord approaching with his generals, and he talks to Proteena full of concerns, and he states that a silent dialogue has been established with the Music of the Mine, and that the Mine itself is a sort of living being that they had struggled to destroy...
"Could you please take off your helmet?" asks Proteena. Hermitokratos, after a moment of indecision, exposes his head, among the stupified murmurs of the miltians: he is undoubtly shifting into Priestess.

"My Lord, you are the living proof that the Cycle is still strong..." says Proteena, "I myself, I have shifted into Mermaid, then into Spiky, I've felt their unspoken feelings, and I've understood that we, the Centrals, have been threatening the Cycle, as you've been threatening the Mine. Control over the reproduction chain is the cause, and not the effect of the Cycle's decadence. I have this knowledge thanks to these friends (and she points the Zymachi), to whom I owe my own life, and maybe all of you standing here does, in one way or the other..."

58- Kerenskij's Dream.

We get back to the lab. Hu, bearing on her body the signs of the previous fight, wakes up the professor. He opens his eyes smiling. He had a dream about Nestis, the dream of a living planet whose inhabitants are cells with the dignity of self awareness.

All the actions of these thinking cells merge to guide Nestis in his ever changing orbit around the Sun, there are cells that act as antennas, others that inconsciously calculate the route, others that modify planet's centroid, others that transport the informations from one group to the other.
It's since millions of years that Nestis and its companions pasture around the Solar System, maybe reach different stars, heating in their perihelion, gathering oxygen on earth, maybe methane on other planets, organic compounds in the wake of comets, and during their journey they spread the seeds of life all along the galaxy, sometimes they die, provoke catastrophes...
"But why wasn't I infected by these beings?" asks Hu.
"Maybe you are, but you don't know because the population that infected you is less belligerent... or maybe it HAS interacted with your thoughts, your decisions, I don't know. A first contact between two civilizations has been established, let's try to harvest its fruits..."

59- Happy Ending.

The two scientists climb up the stairs, Hu sustains the limping professor. Communications with the rest of the world are restored, an helicopter flies over the barracks...

But we are not interested, camera shifts to the rising sun, and to the mighty forest, far in the horizon.
