39- Proteena the Mermaid.
	Painful face of Kerenskij blurs and becomes that of Proteena, completely transfigurated, a sort f mix between Scientist, Traveller and Mermaid. Mutation stops, and the slit on her side heals enclosing the folded string.
	The beautiful Mermaid slips out of the Jellywhale mouth, and starts to sway, dance, powerful and graceful, followed by the Jellywhale. Proteena smiles, dancing with her odd companion, into the large caverns, into the rapids of the Big Thump, then back to the narrow tunnels that cross the lenght of the Mine... They seem happy!
40- Another Egg.
	Suddenly, from nowhere, some ropes cross the stream and entangle the beautiful Mermaid, holding it tight, while the Jellywhale vanishes...
	It's a Cycledweller commando. Some Soldiers ride small Sirens, all of them are protected by Jellyfish skin mantles. They pin down Proteena, and bond her to a strange surface, covered with spikes and protrusions. Even the Soldiers are strange, they seem nervous, they have lost their cool self confidence. Their commander orders to open up the Mermaid's mouth, he vomits out an egg that Proteena swallows voluptuously. The other soldiers step back, disgusted.
41- The Jelly Rovers.
