| 30.2- Tales from the
Cycle 2 |
| |
 |
Soldiers
slowly heaten up in their barracks and start to join the chorus. Music
rises from the very heart of the city, how wonderful is the first chant
of the Cycle, chant of joy and life, and the Soldiers, full of
expectation, welcome the exotic Travelers and receive the second egg. |
| |
 |
Pregnant
Soldiers now search for a Scientist to mate with. Choice can be
difficult, several factors play their role, cast, family of origin,
political situation, but seldom it's just the instinct that makes them
like each other, and that's how the third egg passes from mouth to
mouth. |
| |
 |
In
the meanwhile, armies build up, first expeditons are organized, sieges
and massacres perpetrated, along with the game of alliances and
forecasts. There's no limit to what Soldiers and Scientists can do
toghether, and it's a statement that sounds ironic now that I'm an
outlaw! |
| |
 |
But
let's go back to the battlefield, where Thieves loot over dead bodies,
penetrate the ungarded cities, moving in small groups, ready to vanish
in the Forest. |
| |
 |
It's
there, where roots and walls engage a silent battle, that Scientists,
under a sort of spell, secretly meet the Thieves and give them the
fourth egg. |
